How School Districts Save Time on Timesheets and Ensure Compliance

Before Time & Attendance, everything was done on paper. It took maybe 4-5 days just to get paper timesheets into [our] system. Plus, there’s always that human error factor with manual entry.

We’re even able to see if someone has clocked in from another location which is tremendously helpful.

We were running 100-150 timesheets of payroll. We’re down to 20 to 30 timesheets of payroll. We don’t hand enter time anymore, and that alleviates a lot of errors [because] you never have to worry about not being able to read someone’s name. It also helps process our payroll much quicker, so we love Time & Attendance.

We did away with paper timesheets, so that’s been a huge time saver [and it’s] way more accurate than me doing it by hand. I just can’t imagine how long it would take me now if we were still with paper timesheets with 600 employees to process.

Using Time and Attendance has taken all that guesswork out of it, because if they come in early, they add the time to the front of their day and Frontline figures it out. If they leave late, they add the time to the end of their day and Frontline automatically figures it out. There’s no guessing and I don’t have to deal with yellow paper timesheets! There’s also no delay as far as, ‘Where’s your time sheet?’ ‘Oh, I left it in my bag in my car. I forgot it at home.’ Nope, there’s no more of that because it’s all online.

It’s been dramatic, the amount of time that we have gained through using Frontline. We have time to be people of excellence in the job that we’re actually doing. Now we have the opportunity to spend more time with employees who may need our time and to be a part of looking at even newer and better ways to use the system. It’s just been tremendous.
